Job Summary :

The Vice President of Business Operations will lead the day-to-day operations of the company, ensuring that all functions are aligned with strategic goals, operating efficiently, and contributing to growth. This leadership role involves developing and implementing operational strategies, optimizing resource use, and driving cross-functional collaboration. The Vice President will work closely with the senior leadership team to streamline processes, improve performance, and foster a culture of operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Oversee the company’s operational functions, ensuring they are aligned with strategic objectives and goals.
  • Lead and mentor cross-functional teams, fostering leadership development and professional growth.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to implement employee growth initiatives and uphold company culture and values.
  • Design and execute efficient operational strategies to streamline processes and optimize resources.
  • Create initiatives that boost team morale, promote a sense of community, and encourage collaboration across departments.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to ensure performance targets are met and continuously improved.
  • Establish a culture of accountability and transparency within teams, ensuring consistent operational standards.
  • Partner with executives to develop and execute business plans that drive growth and innovation.
  • Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities and operational efficiencies.
  • Champion the adoption of new technologies and automation solutions to improve operational performance.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, legal regulations, and company policies.
  • Lead the creation of quarterly and annual business plans, setting clear objectives for growth and performance.
  • Oversee company-wide processes, ensuring seamless execution and consistency across departments.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Sales teams on trade shows, customer meetings, and the Go-to-Market strategy.
  • Develop and manage the company’s financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analytics to support business strategy.
  • Review and manage contracts, establishing a strong risk management program.
  • Take on additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications :

  • Proven executive leadership experience in a business operations role, ideally within a SaaS environment.
  • Deep understanding of operational systems, business processes, and performance management.
  • 15+ years of experience in project management, business operations, and cross-functional leadership within medium to large enterprises.
  • Exceptional leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering results.
  • Proven ability to build and sustain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong expertise in budgeting, resource management, and optimizing operational processes.
  • Track record of driving business performance improvements through data-driven strategies.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field; an MBA is a plus.
  • Experience in leadership roles within B2B SaaS companies, with a focus on marketing operations.
  • Experience working in both the Canadian and US markets.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build rapport across all levels.
  • Proven success in developing and executing business strategies that drive growth.
  • Analytical mindset, with the ability to translate data into strategic insights.
  • Familiarity with automation platforms, CRM systems, and digital analytics tools (e.g., HubSpot, Google Analytics, Salesforce, Mailchimp, Asana).
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment and adapt to market changes.
  • Creative problem-solver with strategic thinking capabilities, especially for medium-sized businesses.
  • Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
