Job description

Description

Changing consumer behavior in a cookieless world, the rise of GenAI, and the need to avoid commoditization is all transforming the practice of Marketing & Communications. As a Senior Project Manager at Quietly, you will lead that charge, helping the world’s leading brands drive their business with content.

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager who thrives on organizational excellence and has exceptional client management skills. Someone who is able to manage a variety of client focused communications projects including, editorial, graphic and video as determined by client business objectives in an inclusive-yet-decisive way, and thrives working in an agency environment. The ideal candidate is extremely detail-oriented, strategically-minded, able to analyze opportunities, foresee challenges, and handle multiple projects concurrently.

You are looking for the next big challenge, and like us, you have no small plans.

This is a full-time 15 month maternity leave contract opportunity offering a competitive base salary starting from $80,000+, 3-weeks vacation, comprehensive benefits package, and the flexibility to work remotely during North American business hours, from our headquarters in Vancouver, or a hybrid of both. If these values resonate, we’d love to hear from you.

Quietly is an award-winning consultancy, harnessing business and creative acumen to drive real outcomes for brands looking to succeed. Our people are dedicated to proving the impact of content on business results through a commitment to service that delivers actionable, expert counsel and compelling, effective content. Quietly partners with category leaders such as Coursera, Goldman Sachs, Intercom, Morningstar, Motorola Solutions and PwC to understand how content drives their business.

What You'll Do

  • Shape and manage projects in collaboration with various Quietly teams, including defining the approach and scope, and developing project plans and budgets
  • Draft scopes of work and contribute to other contracts
  • Identify, secure, and successfully manage project team members
  • Manage projects from briefing through to completion, including setting the team up for success and steering all project stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
  • Schedule meetings, take and share meeting notes, and manage administrative elements of project delivery
  • Successfully deliver all projects, including hitting milestones, delivering on time and within budget, and proactively anticipating, flagging and resolving risks along the way
  • Ensure thorough, clear and professional communication with all project stakeholders, including internal teams, vendors, suppliers and contractors
  • Proactively communicate with clients, including delivering work, managing feedback, sharing recommendations and opportunities, flagging risks and challenges, and offering solutions while effectively managing expectations
  • Apply creative and strategic thinking to projects in collaboration with your team
  • Support in Business Development, including inputting on proposals and developing indicative project plans and budgets
  • Stay up-to-date on current trends and technologies and work with internal team members to evolve processes for effective project management strategies and practices
  • Provide project level inputs that inform the efficiency and quality of work
  • Advocate for the agency/client relationship
  • Understand & respect every department’s role in delivering great work & building relationships

Who You Are

  • 7+ years of client facing industry experience in an agency/creative organization
  • Experience with, and an understanding of, the dynamics and workings of marketing agencies
  • Experience working with B2B clients and/or technical subject matter
  • Experience forming strong cross-functional team relationships and client communications
  • Proven track record of ensuring projects are delivered on budget and on-time
  • A familiarity with common best practices in the world of content marketing
  • Well-versed in project management methodologies and best practices, and a whiz at creating and managing project plans
  • Ability to take ownership of multiple workstreams and projects concurrently and with minimal guidance
  • Tech savvy with a high proficiency using Google Suite, Slack, Asana, Harvest and other project management tools
  • Eligible to work in Canada

We respectfully request that recruitment agencies and third-party staffing firms do not contact us regarding this opportunity, as we are not engaging external support at this time.
Our headquarters are located in an incredible converted two-storey live-work space with a gorgeous rooftop patio in the heart of historic Gastown. The building and first floor of our unit are accessible spaces.
