We are looking for individuals with a minimum of 1 year of experience as an Instrumentation & Electrical Technologist within the Oil & Gas industry.

  • Location : Fort McMurray, AB (local residency or willingness to relocate)
  • Shifts : Monday - Friday 8 hours / day

  • Free training programs Duties and Responsibilities :
  • Provide technical support to operations & maintenance during troubleshooting activities to recover plant production, as required
  • Review equipment test results and advise on the frequency & scope of maintenance activities or if repairs / replacements / equipment upgrades are needed
  • Participate in risk analysis work activities, develop engineering solutions for various plant issues
  • Develop, present and / or make modifications to scope of work for turnaround events as well as provide support to turnaround team during execution
  • Make recommendations for the procurement of materials, equipment and services for assigned work
  • Complete instrumentation engineering work packages for equipment reliability improvements
  • Prepare high quality design packages with well-understood scopes of work
  • Prepare detailed design, supply, construction and installation specifications
  • Check vendor drawings and data for compliance with specifications
  • Analyze instrumentation equipment data & historical failure information to produce equipment end of life strategies and obsolescence plans, or produce equipment failure reports
  • Lead or provide technical support during incident investigations Requirements and Qualifications :
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent recognized by APEGA; or Instrumentation Engineering Technologist diploma
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience as an Instrumentation & Electrical Technician in the Oil & Gas industry
  • Experience in engineering work packages completion
  • Local to Fort McMurray area or willing to relocate (non-camp or FIFO role)
  • Strong time management, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication abilities
