The Opportunity Build the Future With Us - Step into a role where your technical precision directly shapes transportation corridors, bridges, structures, and the communities that rely on them. Based in Abbotsford and supporting work across our Kamloops and Prince George hubs, you'll play a key part in construction delivery, quality oversight, and field leadership for infrastructure projects throughout British Columbia.
Travel will be required.
Your Impact In this role, you will:
- Deliver construction surveys to MOTI standards, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and high-quality project execution.
- Lay out point, linear, area, and surface features to support construction staging, structures, grading, utilities, and environmental works.
- Produce timely topographic surveys of key surfaces, including original ground, organics stripping, rock, and earthworks.
- Identify and address field and design issues, collaborating proactively with project teams and Ministry representatives.
- Lead quality inspections for subgrade, base, structural components, decks, abutments, girders, and related works.
- Track Schedule 7 bill-of-quantities data using Civil3D, Trimble Business Center and Excel to ensure accurate monthly reporting and payment validation.
- Calculate construction quantities, end-area volumes, and fitted field data for grading, drainage, structures, lighting, and electrical works.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly documentation supporting field decisions and compliance needs.
- Liaise effectively with contractors, ministry representatives, and stakeholders throughout construction.
The Skills That Set You Apart - You bring hands-on experience completing construction surveying for transportation or heavy civil projects using Trimble total stations, GNSS, and field software.
- You're confident interpreting drawings, layouts, and shop drawings for structures, drainage, utilities, and MOTI-spec features.
- You excel in high-paced field environments, balancing accuracy, safety, and efficiency.
- You're experienced with Civil3D, TBC, Microsoft Excel, and digital spatial-data workflows.
- You take initiative in identifying issues early and communicating them clearly to drive solutions.

Compensation - AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $39.70 - $52.60
- MB & ON: $36.20 - $49.90
- NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $35.90 - $47.60
