We pride ourselves on : -Transparency and growth through open-book management and profit-sharing-Supporting work-life balance in a lifestyle-oriented mountain resort town-Investing in new tools, systems, and training to help our team succeed-Creating a fun, supportive, and high-performing workplaceKey Responsibilities : -Lead Landscape Construction Projects : -Oversee small crews (2-3 members) to build driveways, patios, pathways, rock walls, decks, fences, and gardens-Manage project planning, material coordination, and task sequencing to meet deadlines and maintain quality-Ensure projects comply with design specifications and safety standards-Crew and Jobsite Management : -Set daily and weekly crew goals to ensure productivity-Coach and motivate team members to improve quality and efficiency-Maintain a tidy, safe, and organized worksite, crew truck, and equipment-Client and Supplier Interaction : -Liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless project execution.-Identify opportunities for additional work and convert them into change orders as appropriate-Administrative Duties : -Utilize mobile apps to track time, materials, equipment usage and safety documentation-Inspect and sign-off on all deliveries and ensure compliance with project requirementsQualifications : -Experience : Minimum of 3 years of hands-on landscape construction experience, including project and crew management-Skills : -Proficient in operating tools and machinery (, mini-excavators, front-end loaders).-Skilled in using laser levels, reading blueprints, and grading sites-Familiarity with plant health and lifecycle-Carpentry skills are a bonus-Attributes : Strong organizational skills, problem-solving abilities, and adaptability-Other Requirements : -Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record-Secondary school diploma or equivalent-Excellent written and verbal English communication skills-Ability to thrive in outdoor environments, rain or shine-The ability to work legally in Canada (citizen, permanent resident or work visa)Benefits : -Competitive Compensation : $35 - $45 per hour, depending on experience-Profit Sharing : Quarterly payouts for achieving company goals-Overtime Pay : 1.5x for hours worked beyond 40 per week-Work-Life Balance : -10-hour shifts with three-day weekends during the summer months-Paid time off (holidays, sick days)-Additional Perks : -Weekly pay cycle-Subsidized shared staff accommodation (limited availability)-Health savings account starting at $400 in year one, increasing to $1,200 by year three-Access to a company vehicle after one season of employment-Reimbursement for cell phone expenses-Company events, training, and career development opportunities note, I'd consider offering a moving allowance to anyone moving from out of town -Work Schedule : -Seasonal full-time role (April to December), 40 hours per weekWork Location : -Whistler, BC, with occasional work in Squamish and Pemberton.Join Our Team!If you're ready to lead a crew, build high-quality landscapes, and enjoy a rewarding career in a stunning mountain town, apply now to Pika Landscapes.
