The Opportunity

You will be responsible for :

Mechanical Design : Contributing to the mechanical design and integration of a battery energy storage system. Utilizing 3D CAD software to generate clean parametric models, and develop clear mechanical drawings. Contributing to research, development, and improvements to new and existing subsystems.

Fabrication Assistance : Assisting in hands-on fabrication and assembly of enclosures. Simple mechanical and electrical work including installing fasteners, connectors, and wiring harnesses.

Design Testing & Documentation : Producing comprehensive design documentation, in-lab documentation, and FMEA documentation. Assisting in carrying out mechanical and system testing, and producing complete test reports.

The Candidate

We're looking for students with the following traits, skills, and experiences :

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or a related field.
• Students must be a 3rd or 4th year student.
• High preference for students with Design Team or previous Co-op experience.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software for mechanical design of battery modules, enclosures, and other mechanical components.
• A willingness to learn!
