Job Description

• Monitoring system performance and identifying problems that arise.
• Responding in a timely manner to user-reported errors.
• Protecting the database against threats or unauthorized access.
• Ensuring that the database is adequately backed up and able to be recovered in the event of memory loss.
• Reporting on metrics regarding usage and performance.
• Recommend changes and improvements to maintain or protect the database.
• Regularly communicate with IT project managers and database programmers.
• Database design with front-end and back-end users.
• Extracting and / or loading data
• Implement cyber security measures
• Ensure that all hardware and software are up to date
• Validate data

Requirements

A bachelor's diploma in pc technological know-how or a associated field. Advanced certification as an MCDBA or MCSD for .NET is advantageous. A minimal of three years' revel in as a database administrator. Proficiency in records manipulation languages, together with MS SQL, Oracle Database, Hadoop, or PostgreSQL. Analytical attitude and exact problem-fixing skills. Excellent verbal and written conversation skills. Highly prepared and responsible. Capable of running below pressure. Up-to-date with developments and trends in database administration.
