Plant Director Introduction I am Jeremy Dupeuble, Recruitment Consultant at FED ManuTech, specializing in leadership, engineering, and industrial management roles. We are supporting a leading food manufacturing company in the search for a Plant Director for its key Canadian site in Boucherville. Mission Your Role As Plant Director, you will play a central role in the operational performance and stability of the site. You will act as the operational partner to corporate leadership, overseeing overall site management while leading experienced management teams in a unionized environment. Key responsibilities: • Act as a strategic partner to the VP of Operations on North American expansion projects. • Supervise core departments: Food Production, Maintenance, and Internal Logistics. • Drive operational performance: KPIs, productivity, quality, costs, and safety. • Maintain a strong floor presence to ensure team alignment and operational flow. • Lead and strengthen a culture of continuous improvement in a growth-oriented environment. • Ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards (HACCP, SQF). Site scope: approximately 430 employees, high-volume production, unionized environment. Your profile Your Profile • Minimum 15 years of experience in high-volume industrial manufacturing (250 employees). • Proven experience in a unionized environment (mandatory). • Strong track record managing managers and senior leaders. • Deep knowledge of food safety and quality standards. • Hands-on, results-driven leadership style. • Ability to thrive in a growing and constantly evolving environment. • Fully bilingual French / English. • Comfortable with production management systems and Microsoft Office tools. Working Conditions • Annual salary: $150,000 to $180,000, depending on experience. • Annual bonus: 20%, linked to individual and company performance. • Vacation: 4 weeks, depending on experience. • Group insurance from day one (65% employer-paid). • Retirement plan with employer contribution up to 6%. • Additional benefits: vision care reimbursement every two years, early REER contribution.
