Qualifications
Qualifications for this position include, but are not limited to,
- Licensed to practice as a Registered Practical Nurse in the province of Ontario
- A member in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Training and education in caring for seniors in long term care
- Demonstrated experience in caring for seniors in long term care
- Demonstrated experience in documentation and care planning
- Current CPR Certification
- Computer skills

Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out duties identified in the Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) job description.
Provides safe and efficient personal care for residents including all activities of daily living to ensure optimum physical, social, recreational, spiritual and psychological well-beingEffectively communicates with residents, staff and familiesProvides excellent customer service in a respectful, courteous and pleasant mannerProvides individualized service in a home-like settingAdapt to changing needs of residents and be able to adjust service delivery, as required under the direction of the ADOC / DOCObserves and reports changes in resident’s statusRecords necessary data on resident health and provision of serviceShares responsibility for care of equipment in the home and personal belongings of residentsWorks co-operatively with team membersReceives direction from registered staffParticipates in quality improvement activities, in-service sessions, training as requiredPerforms other duties as assignedWe Offer
