The position :
The incumbent should have completed a minimum of 3 years Mechanical Engineering and be a self-starter with strong time management and computer skills. The student should also possess strong interpersonal skills along with a willingness to work with others. The successful incumbent must have completed at least one Coop work assignment. Previous pulp mill or heavy industrial experience would be a definite asset.
The Co-op student will also perform the following duties :

It is our intention to provide the student with an opportunity to become familiar with the pulp and paper production process and to utilize the theoretical knowledge of engineering principles in a work situation. The student engineer will work independently and as a team member with the opportunity for input from a variety of resources including experienced Professional Engineers, mill operators and Maintenance personnel. The successful applicants will gain practical experience in various aspects of Mechanical Engineering. You will be given a project during your work term for which you will be expected to give a presentation to the management team outlining your project findings / recommendations.
The hourly rate for this position is : $54,000.00
The salary range for this position is : $52,500.00-$54,000.00
