About the Role :

Our client is looking for an experienced Contract Administrator with a strong background in construction and project execution. You’ll work closely with the project team from concept through construction, ensuring smooth, efficient project delivery. As a key team member, you’ll be relied upon for your technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and deep understanding of BC’s building codes and municipal processes. This role is ideal for an architect or architectural technologist passionate about contract administration and skilled in the art of balancing high standards with tight deadlines.

Role Responsibilities :

  • Oversee all phases of contract administration, from field reporting to contract changes.
  • Conduct and document field reviews, payment certifications, and site processes (CCN / RFI / SI).
  • Lead site meetings, produce field review reports, and identify and address project deficiencies.
  • Maintain project records, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
  • Leverage your building science expertise to uphold high construction standards.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients and team members, offering guidance and solutions.
  • Navigate complex procurement and contracting procedures, including handling changes, claims, and delays.

What You Bring :

  • 7+ years of local industry experience, with a strong track record in contract administration.
  • AIBC registration (or eligibility) as an architect or architectural technologist.
  • Proficient in Revit for project delivery, with solid experience in the working drawing stage.
  • Excellent field reporting and document processing skills, with experience using Procore, Onware, and Bluebeam considered a strong asset.
  • Strong understanding of building science, construction methods, and BC codes.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and handle high-pressure situations professionally.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle for site visits.
