Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Financial Controller plays a key role in the performance and optimization of financial operations. Acting as a bridge between current and future systems, the Financial Controller actively contributes to continuous improvement, the reliability of financial information, and the implementation of effective processes.
He / she oversees the entire financial reporting cycle, supports digital transformation, and ensures the deployment of rigorous controls and practices within the organization.
Main Responsibilities
- Oversee the monthly closing process : analyses, adjusting entries, consolidated financial statements, and budget variances.
- Supervise the chief accountant’s work in reconciling financial data.
- Oversee the billing team and optimize existing processes.
- Manage fixed assets, intangible assets, and records related to leases and long-term commitments.
- Ensure Canadian and US tax compliance (sales taxes) and maintain the tools necessary for their management.
- Prepare and deliver training on new procedures to internal teams.
- Act as a resource person during external audits and the preparation of tax returns.
Required Profile
CPA designation (CPA or CPA auditor).5 to 7 years of experience in senior financial positions.3 to 5 years of experience in a firm (auditor) — an asset.Excellent knowledge of IFRS, NCECF, and US GAAP standards.Working knowledge of an ERP (Oracle, SAP, Dynamics 365).Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.We subscribe to the principle of employment equity and guarantee the confidentiality of your application.
