Technical writers work with internal and external organizations to develop, plan, and write/edit internal and external technical documentation. Work requires use of the appropriate editorial/logical methodologies and process management. Writers must ensure that documentation is written in a manner that customers with limited to highly proficient technical product knowledge can understand and use the material.
Candidates must possess a strong technical aptitude to grasp complex technologies. Domain knowledge in the area of energy management and industrial automation is a huge plus. Candidates must have excellent written and spoken communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain high-quality technical documentation, including release notes and online help.
• Author and maintain product integration guides with third- party apps.
• Collaborate with product management, engineering teams, and other SMEs throughout the product development lifecycle to gather information and understand product features and functionality.
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and easy-to-understand language.
• Proactively identify documentation needs and opportunities for improvement.
• Manage multiple documentation requests simultaneously, adhering to deadlines and priorities.

Qualifications:

• A degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field—that solid tech foundation really helps.
• 4–7 years of experience writing clear, helpful documentation for software products that customers actually use and love.
• Solid experience in networking documentation is key. If you’ve got hands-on exposure to the security domain, that’s a big plus.
• You communicate clearly, both in writing and while working with others—collaboration and clarity matter to us.
• You’ve worked with WordPress as a content management system. That experience is a must.
• You’re a fast learner when it comes to new tools or processes, and you do well in dynamic, fast-moving environments.
• You enjoy digging into complex tech and explaining it simply. Bonus if you’ve explored SaaS/cloud security or played around with HTML.
• You’ve been part of Agile teams and are comfortable adapting your work to fast-changing priorities.
• You’re comfortable using both Mac and Windows systems—flexibility is always helpful.
