Senior Analyst

THE ROLE:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Financial Analyst for a 2-month contract to support asset accounting and capitalization activities within a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support cost assignment and capitalization within the asset management module, including transferring project costs into assets and maintaining sub-modules
• Assist with the full asset lifecycle, including new capital setup, cost allocations, asset creation, and ongoing cost tracking
• Perform GL reviews to ensure accurate classification of expenses vs. capital expenditures
• Maintain and reconcile Work-in-Progress (WIP) reporting
• Process asset dispositions and transfers within the asset management system

ABOUT YOU:

You are a detail‑driven accounting or finance professional with a strong understanding of capital accounting concepts. You work with precision, verify your work carefully, and follow processes consistently. You’re comfortable managing large datasets, adjusting quickly to priorities, and meeting tight deadlines. You take a systematic, accurate approach to your work and communicate effectively within a fast‑paced team environment.

YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• 2+ years of relevant accounting or financial analysis experience (CPA or equivalent designation in progress or completed; open to international designations)
• Strong understanding of capital vs. expense classification
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, working with large datasets)
• High attention to detail with a process-driven mindset and strong accuracy
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage competing priorities
• Experience with PeopleSoft Asset Management or similar is a definite asset
