Key Responsibilities
Injection Molding Machinery
Diagnose, repair, and maintain hydraulic, hybrid, and electric injection molding machinesTroubleshoot issues related to hydraulic circuits, pumps, valves, leaks, pressures, and actuatorsIdentify and repair electrical faults, including sensors, relays, heaters, thermocouples, limit switches, and safety interlocksMaintain and repair clamp systems, ejector systems, platen alignment, tie-bars, lubrication systems, and mechanical wear componentsPerform preventative maintenance (PM) inspections and complete required documentationInspect and maintain barrel assemblies, heater bands, wiring, and cooling channelsRobotics & Automation
Troubleshoot and repair 3‑axis sprue pickers and 6‑axis industrial robots (e.g., Fanuc, ABB, Yaskawa, Wittmann, Yushin)Perform adjustments and repairs to end‑of‑arm tooling (EOAT)Diagnose robot I / O issues and perform minor program edits for recoveryMaintain and troubleshoot downstream automation equipment such as conveyors, separators, and handling systemsAuxiliary Equipment (Asset)
Inspect and repair water, air, and vacuum lines associated with molding operationsMaintain and troubleshoot :Resin dryers and loadersBlendersGrindersTemperature control units (TCUs)ChillersHot runner temperature controllersGeneral Maintenance
Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and hydraulic schematicsPerform mechanical repairs using machine tools such as grinders, drill presses, and lathes (as required)Follow all safety rules, SOPs, and lockout / tagout proceduresReport hazards, irregularities, or unsafe conditions to the Supervisor immediatelySupport facility‑related maintenance tasks as assignedPosition Requirements
Skills / Experience
Industrial Maintenance Mechanic (Millwright) license or Industrial Electrician an assetMinimum 2‑5 years of experience maintaining injection molding machinery in a manufacturing environmentStrong understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systemsExperience maintaining robotics and automation equipmentAbility to diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults independentlyFamiliarity with computerized machinery and machine controlsAbility to read and interpret general technical documents, schematics, and manualsGood manual dexterity and ability to work to exacting standardsPhysical strength and stamina for working around heavy industrial equipmentEffective verbal communication and teamwork skillsEquipment experience with any of the following is an asset
