Job Description

Insight Global is seeking an Engineering Project Manager for a company based just outside of Calgary in the pre-engineered construction / manufacturing industry. This role involves working closely with the head engineer to manage workflow, handle sales inquiries, ensure compliance with building codes, streamline engineering processes, and support the transition to a more efficient workload. Key responsibilities include liaising with permitting authorities, managing projects, maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders, reviewing bid specifications, confirming bay spacing, submitting drawings, responding to client queries, and conducting various studies and reviews. The bulk of this position will focus on building, permitting, and related tasks. The ideal candidate will have a background in project management, engineering, and building codes, with a passion for innovative construction solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience in Project Management or engineering within the construction industry
• Understanding of NBC (Canada) and IBC (US) building codes
• Experience working with building code or permitting officials
