We are searching for an
- experienced Hydrovac Operator that can also operate Gravel trucks and lowbeds
- to join our hardworking crew here in the Okanagan.
The ideal candidate must have 5+ years of experience with hauling lowbed trailers, operating hydrovac and gravel trucks, as well as
- Experience driving in and around work sites
- Eye for detail
- Good communication skills
- Great work ethic and attitude
Attentive to safety standards
Wage will be based upon experience.

- Responsibilities :
- Must be able to maintain a daily electronic and written log
- Must be able to pull permits
- Must be able to hook, unhook, and load lowbed trailers
- Must be able to securely tie down a load as per regulations
- Must be able to plan routes
- Must understand and adhere to MOT guidelines
- Must be aware of vehicle height and overhead structures and utilities
- Must be able to comfortably operate various equipment and load / unload onto lowbed trailers
- Must be able to communicate effectively with others
- Must complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections of truck and trailers
- Must be able to perform daily safety and maintenance checks
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision
- Must be able to work well with a team
- Must be organized
- Must be patient
- Must maintain a clean and organized vehicle
- Education & Experience :
- Must have a minimum of 5 years experience driving gravel trucks and lowbed trailers, and operating hydrovac trucks
- Must have a valid Class 1 Driver's Licence with Air Brakes Endorsement
- Must have experience swamping, trenching, etc and working with underground utilities
- Must have computer skills
- Must have a good understanding of hydrovac mechanics
- Mechanical skills is an asset
- Ground Disturbance Certification is an asset
- Physical Demands :
- Sitting for extended periods of time
- Climbing in and out of truck
- Standing, Walking, Bending, Squatting, Climbing
- Lifting objects up to 50 lbs
- Working in varying temperatures and weather conditions
