About us
Arms Open Counselling is a private practice based out of Smithville that will be opening their Dunnville office in February of 2025. Existing offices are in Binbrook, Smithville and Beamsville. We are seeking the following :
Registered Psycotherapist who is willing to provide both in person and virtual sessions at the Dunnville location

Duties :
- Conduct therapy sessions with clients
- Develop and goals treatment plans based on the client needs
- Provide counseling and support to clients dealing with mental health issues
- Utilize therapeutic techniques to assist clients in achieving their goals
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients
- Stay up-to-date with current research and best practices in psychotherapy
Qualifications :
Master's degree in Social work, Counselling Psychology or a related fieldRegistration with an appropriate governing bodyExperience conducting individual and couples therapy sessionsKnowledge of various therapeutic modalities and interventions pertaining to couples therapy is a bonusSeeking counsellors trained specifically in couples therapy or who are willing to trainExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to establish rapport and build trust with clientsEmpathy and compassion for clients experiencing mental health challengesStrong organizational skills and attention to detailMature therapist with life experienceMust want to stay within the practice for a minimum of 3 yearsPlease do not apply if you own your own practice or are planning to open one in the next 3 yearsTherapists are responsible for session notes, rebooking clients at end of session, and email communication with clients when necessary. Practitioners paid a flat fee per session
Expected hours : 10 – 25 per week
Schedule : Day shift
Evening shift
Monday to Friday
Weekends as needed

Pay : $55.00-$90.00 per hour
