The Opportunity :

Reporting to the Vice President, Product Development, the Senior Cloud Architect will lead the modernization of a portfolio of VM-based enterprise applications into a unified, cloud-oriented platform that combines VMs, containers, FaaS / serverless, and a modern data layer optimized for time-series workloads (including migration from Oracle to PostgreSQL), with clear KPIs for performance, stability, and availability.

The Senior Cloud Architect defines the target cloud architecture and roadmap to evolve from fragmented, VM-centric applications and Oracle databases to a cohesive platform built on modern cloud services, PostgreSQL-based data stores, and well-defined service-level objectives. The role partners with product, engineering, security, and operations to design, govern, and guide implementation of a resilient, secure, observable, and cost‑efficient cloud platform.

Location of Position :

This is a hybrid role based in our Burnaby, BC office.

Specifically, the Senior Cloud Architect will :

• Assess the current application, integration, and infrastructure landscape (VMs, Oracle databases, data flows) and define a target-state architecture and phased modernization roadmap (rehost, replatform, refactor, consolidate).
• Design a hybrid cloud platform that supports VMs, containers, and FaaS / serverless, including :

Container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes / EKS / AKS / GKE or equivalent).
