Category Manager

Our client is seeking a Category Manager to join our clients team and lead multiple product categories within a fast-paced retail environment. This role offers the opportunity to move beyond transactional buying and into strategic category ownership—driving growth, profitability, and innovation.

Responsibilities :

• Transition from tactical buying to full category ownership—developing strategies and implementing plans that align with business goals.
• Create and adjust product assortments and buying strategies based on customer needs and market trends.
• Use your analytical expertise to review financials, manage P& L, and translate insights into actionable strategies.
• Build and maintain strong supplier partnerships to optimize pricing, terms, and profitability.
• Work closely with merchandising, marketing, and operations teams to ensure category success.
• Partner with teams to develop proprietary products and introduce differentiated offerings.

Requirements :

3–5 years in buying, purchasing, or category analysis within retail or wholesale.

Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or related field.

Strong financial acumen and experience with P& L management.

Advanced analytical skills with the ability to turn data into insights.

Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.

Strategic mindset with a passion for driving growth and innovation.
