Reporting to the Corporate Controller, the Accounting Technician provides a wide range of support to the Organization as a whole and to the Administrative Team. With a reasonable understanding of accounting concepts, the technician will assist others in the administrative department with their day-to-day roles and responsibilities. The accounting technician will have opportunities to grow accounting knowledge while working internal to an organization and further develop a background of business administration and that will prove to be important as they grow in their professional career.
Essential Job Functions :
- Assist in Bank and / or Visa Reconciliations.
- Assist in preparation of monthly and annual accounting reports and tax filings.
- Process full-cycle accounting entries into the system.
- Assist and support Invoicing clerk and Accounts Payable where needed.
- Assist in budget preparation.
- Assist in maintaining job files / filing system and converting paper documents to electronic files.
- Light reception duties on rotational basis.
- Other administrative duties as required.
Skills Requirements – Essential
Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Marketing, Graphic Design or related discipline.Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office.Excellent Communication Skills.Skills Requirements – Asset
Excellent teamwork and team building skills.Intermediate level understanding of accounting concepts.Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with other departments, key business partners, and government agencies.High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office productivity suite, mostly excel.Benefits :
