Position Overview
The Shipping & Receiving Coordinator is responsible for organizing and overseeing all incoming and outgoing shipments within Canada. This role ensures that materials, finished products, and supplies are received, stored, packaged, and shipped accurately and efficiently to meet project schedules. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and experienced in coordinating logistics within a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule daily shipments of aluminum railing products to project sites across Canada & USA.
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Prepare all shipping documentation including bills of lading, packing lists, and delivery receipts.
- Organize and maintain inventory accuracy through proper labeling, storage, and data entry.
- Work closely with the production, project management, and sales teams to align shipping schedules with project deadlines.
- Liaise with freight carriers to arrange pickups, track deliveries, and resolve transportation issues.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping / receiving area.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and support inventory audits.
- Ensure all shipments meet Railcraft’s quality standards and customer requirements.
- Report and document any damaged goods, shipment errors, or delays.
Qualifications & Skills
2–3 years of experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse coordination (manufacturing or metal fabrication preferred).Strong understanding of domestic Canadian freight and logistics (LTL, FTL, courier, etc.).Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.Experience with ERP or inventory management systems (asset if familiar with Tekla PowerFab or similar).Forklift certification or experience operating material handling equipment (asset).Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with multiple departments.Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.Why Join Railcraft International
