What are the Responsibilities?
Post-sales support, including client follow-up and trainingIdentify issues in the field and resolve them; look for areas of improvement; bring forward ideas or solutionsWrite service reports and commissioning checklists upon trip completionTest equipment after assembly; follow FAT (factory acceptance test) steps; bring forward any concerns and ensure correctionsCreate procedures, instructions, reports, training information which may include manuals, PowerPoint, and videosAct as a content expert for Technical Writing department; support the development of manuals, procedures and documentationFollow-up on action items identified during commissioning or service trips(Future) Assist with Falcon SB bowl refurbishment program; generate reports for the Parts Team, help coordinate and remotely support wo processesAssist with larger projects including assembly, teardown and coordination; lead and direct a third-party vendor to fabricate and assemble company equipmentAssist with shop assembly when resources require it; this may be-in Langley, Montreal, or at an international vendorAssist QA department with quality inspectionsEssential Skills & Capabilities :
Good mechanical knowledge or mechanical aptitude; follows company's or client's safety protocols; best practices; follows procedures; ability to follow directions; continued growth and developmentExperience with equipment commissioning and serviceExperience with analyzing and troubleshooting machinery both mechanically and electricallyAble to read, follow, and understand mechanical (assembly) and electrical drawingsClear communication with clients and peers on equipment installation, operation, maintenance, and repairUnderstand how to see a job through and adjust your schedule to suit the task at handDemonstrates personal leadership; looks to develop and stays up to date with required training including but not limited to MSHA, WHMIS, electrical safety, mineral processing, automationUse and understand various Automation software; be able to clearly understand directions if being instructed on a program changeProficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat or other PDF editorsHold a valid Canadian passport and maintain good standing (or a strong international passport with no travel restrictions)When working onsite, able to match client hours which may require working 10-12 hour shiftsAble and willing to travel domestically and internationally on short notice and up to 50% of the time - MUST hold a Canadian or other equally strong passport with no travel restrictions.Confident in making decisions, some of which may not be well received; diplomatic approach to ensure work gets doneWell organized and able to prioritize activitiesSelf-starter, proactive and motivatedAbility to deliver under pressure or in uncomfortable conditionsMust be dependable, trustworthy, accountable; owns mistakes and learns from themBonus points for :
