26-017i Weight Room Attendant (Part Time)

This is recreation work supervising the safety and control of patrons in the weight room. This position assists and guides patrons in the use and care of exercise equipment and the facility. Includes some custodial and minor preventative maintenance tasks as required. Work is performed under general supervision and is evaluated by a supervisor in terms of effectiveness of service provided and conformance to established practices.

The Training Manual Requirements pre-qualifications for this position are :

• Six (6) months full time equivalent previous experience in the area of physical fitness
• BCRPA Fitness Theory Level One Certificate and BCRPA Weight Training Certificate

The Class Specification requires Standard First Aid and is a job requirement.
