Job description

Title : GIS Analyst

Duration : 12 months

Location : Edmonton, AB (Work is remote)

Working Hours :

  • Standard Hours of work are 08 : 15 - 16 : 30 Alberta time, Monday through Friday excluding holidays observed by the Province
  • Work must be done from within Canada, due to network and data security issues .

Scope :

Reporting to the Senior Manager Program Supports, the Broadband GIS Analyst is responsible for providing direct and indirect support for all broadband programs.

Required Skills & Experience :

  • Direct, hands-on experience and proficiency with ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Pro and FME Software.
  • Direct, hands-on experience creating thematic maps that highlight specific data points or trend.
  • Direct, hands-on experience designing and producing maps that visually represent spatial data.
  • Direct, hands-on experience developing exploratory analysis by transforming raw data tables and data frames into accurate maps
  • Direct, hands-on experience in creating and managing geospatial datasets and perform complex spatial queries.
  • Direct, hands-on experience using statistical techniques to analyze geographic data and make predictions.
  • Direct, hands-on experience with spatial data extraction, transformation and loading to enterprise geodatabases.
  • Direct, hands-on experience with spatial analysis. Analyzing and interpreting geographic data, spatial relationships and patterns
