Mechanic

Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring two (2) Trailer Mechanics on a permanent basis on our Supply Chain team.

This position requires on-site work and is based in our Region Office in Regina SK.

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 6:15 am 2:45 pm (Days)

Monday to Thursday 2:45 pm 1:15 am (Nights)

What youll do:

• Perform mechanical services on retail delivery units and semi-trailer units such as checking and rebuilding of pumps and meters mounting PTOs test and repair piping and fittings as required.

• Inspect adjust repair or replace parts and components and diagnose commercial truck-trailer systems including chassis frame cab body air brakes suspension and electrical systems.

• Complete tests and inspections required by provincial and Transport Canada regulations on cargo tanks commercial trailers and associated equipment.

• Install and transfer tanks on retail delivery units.

• Install and troubleshoot truck mounted fuel management equipment.

• Perform aluminum cutting welding and fitting on aluminum tanks and equipment.

• Complete tests required by Transport Canada on cargo tanks and associated equipment.

• Other duties as assigned.

The Team: You will work closely with a dynamic team to perform mechanical services on retail delivery and semi-trailer unitsand will report to Supervisor Fleet Maintenance. This team strives to cultivate a culture of support collaboration and community.

Who you are:
You are looking for a career in Supply Chain and:

• Have a high school diploma (or equivalent).

• Carry a valid Class 5 Drivers License; Class 3A Drivers License is considered an asset.

• Have a minimum of 2 years of related experience (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).

• Have a mechanical aptitude and excellent communication skills.
