We are seeking a talented Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our dynamic team. This role plays a critical part in assuring the quality and reliability of our software systems and applications.

We are looking for a candidate with a robust Computer Science background and demonstrated expertise in enhancing software quality.

What You Will Do

• Design & implement test automation frameworks & strategies
• Effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, & stakeholders, to identify test requirements
• Design, develop, execute, & maintain automated tests with robust test cases & test data based on functional & component requirements to validate the behaviour & performance of our software product infrastructure, platform, & applications
• Conduct root cause analysis of test infrastructure, framework, & suite failures, & recommend improvements
• Keep up-to-date with industry best practices, strategies, & emerging trends in quality assurance & test automation
• Contribute to continuous integration (CI) & continuous deployment (CD) processes, ensuring automated tests are integrated & executed reliably
• Identify, analyze, & document software defects, & track their resolution in an issue-tracking system
• Participate in defect retrospectives & recommend process improvements
• Work closely with development teams to investigate & resolve issues, ensuring the on-time delivery of high-quality software
• Create & maintain documentation related to testing activities.

What You Will Bring

Required Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree in computer science, software engineering or related discipline, or equivalent working experience
• Minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in software quality assurance
• Expert knowledge of software testing principles, techniques, & best practices
• Proficient designing, developing, & maintaining automated test frameworks & cases using Jest, Artillery, Playwright, or equivalent tools
• Solid understanding of AWS services with experience testing distributed systems
• Expertise with Linux (& Linux containers) familiarity with bash & pwsh
• Advanced scripting skills required; JavaScript & TypeScript preferred
• Knowledge of RESTful web services & event-driven architecture
• Understanding of considerations in testing individual & interacting services
• Performance & scalability test experience, ensuring optimal application performance under varying loads
• Experience working with Git version control
• Excellent analytical, debugging, & problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies & practices
• Must be legally entitled to work in the country where the role is located. Must be able to travel to the United States, Canada and / or internationally, and have a valid passport.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Linux security testing methodologies & best practices
• Familiarity with containerization & orchestration technologies on Linux, such as Docker & Kubernetes
• Experience conducting cloud-specific security tests, including penetration testing
• Skilled in application monitoring & logging in dynamic, distributed systems
• Work experience with scripting languages commonly used in Linux, such as Bash & Python, for test automation.
