General Accountant

What Youll Do :

The General Accountant is responsible for supporting the day-to-day and monthly accounting operations of the organization.  This role ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial data through timely processing of transactions reconciliations and reporting.  The General Accountant also assists with continuous improvement of accounting processes.  More specifically :

Accounts Payable Responsibilities :

• Thoroughly review and approve all accounts payable (AP) invoices ensuring accuracy proper allocation to GL codes or 3-way match.
• Prepare AP aging reports with comprehensive payment documentation for Controller review.
• Ensure all payments are made punctually via check or ACH.
• Manage vendor setup and approvals.
• Monitor vendor accounts to ensure up-to-date payments and resolve any discrepancies or inquiries.
• Assist with month-end accruals and reconciliation of AP sub-ledgers to the general ledger.
• Maintain organized filing systems for financial documents.
