ABOUT THE ROLE

The Graphic Designer would be someone who excels in visual storytelling. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated competency to take business and strategic ideas and translate them into visual marketing and communications collateral. The Graphic Designer will work with the team to create effective digital and print content supported by data insights, background research, and a thorough understanding of client needs and objectives. This role will report to the CEO and work alongside our Project Manager, Marketing Coordinators, and Content Creators.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Create visual communication pieces for marketing campaigns for print and digital formats, including print advertisements, HTML5 banner ads, web or mobile UX design, social media assets (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Snapchat, Pinterest, WeChat, RED, and other platforms), and video assets for social media/website use where required.
2. Ability to work on 5-6 projects simultaneously and collaborate with the team, clients, and other agency partners to ensure deadlines are met.
3. Work with partner agencies and/or other professionals to integrate their design elements into advertisement visuals, websites, and other communications materials as required.
4. Develop client brands based on client meetings and creative briefs; participate in client discussions and meetings.
5. Prepare client branding and/or design presentations as needed.
6. Consult with clients’ internal marketing teams to ensure adherence to their branding, sales, and marketing goals and objectives.
7. Create other visual communications and marketing materials for internal and client use as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
2. Fluency in Chinese (Cantonese or Mandarin) is an asset.
3. 4+ years of experience in digital/social media marketing or a similar role/industry.
4. Must be able to provide sample work or include a link to an online portfolio.
5. Familiarity with social media video editing apps and software.
6. Experience creating social media assets on mobile.
7. Expert understanding of Adobe Creative Suite tools or equivalent for creating digital and print content.
8. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of cultural nuances in marketing.
9. Data-driven – able to glean insights and build content and stories around data.
10. Resourceful – able to meet tight deadlines accurately and timely by leveraging resources in our internal and external network; open to asking for help and team support.
