MacEwan University has a long-standing history of providing quality nursing education that prepares graduates to lead and succeed in nursing practice, and beyond. The Faculty of Nursing includes the Departments of : Nursing Foundations; Human Health and Science; Nursing Practice; Health Systems and Sustainability; and Professional Nursing and Allied Health. Courses delivered within these five (5) departments are affiliated with the Bachelor of Science in Nursing, the Bachelor of Psychiatric Nursing, the Diploma in Psychiatric Nursing, and other continuing education credentials and learning experiences. The Faculty of Nursing is a learner-centered environment where excellent teaching and clinical expertise are integral to creating a quality learning environment for students.
The Faculty of Nursing invites applications for Nurse Educator appointments commencing July 2024, subject to final budgetary approval. A Nurse Educator appointment is a full-time position consisting of full-time work for months of the year (usually approximately July-August until May, depending on the courses assigned). Nurse Educator appointments include a benefits package.
You will be primarily responsible for clinical instruction in your area of clinical experience and expertise. You may also be assigned to labs and will weave knowledge through key practice experiences.
College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA) and / or the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Alberta (CRPNA) is required, along with the ability to meet the requisite skills and abilities of the applicable nursing discipline.
