Responsibilities :
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems and fixtures in residential and commercial settings
- Inspect plumbing systems and identify issues or potential problems
- Collaborate with clients to determine their plumbing needs and provide appropriate solutions
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and building codes to ensure compliance with regulations
- Perform basic math calculations to measure, cut, and assemble pipes and fittings
- Use a variety of tools and equipment such as wrenches, pipe cutters, and soldering torches
- Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as carpenters and HVAC technicians, to complete projects
- Test plumbing systems for leaks and ensure proper functioning
Skills :
Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of plumbing systemsProficiency in reading blueprints and schematicsAbility to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks as requiredBasic math skills for measurements and calculationsExperience with carpentry or other related trades is a plusKnowledge of HVAC systems is beneficialAbility to weld or solder pipes is an advantageAs a plumber, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the proper functioning of plumbing systems in various settings.
