Responsibilities

What will your typical day look like?

As an Financial Analyst you will be primarily responsible for journal entries, account reconciliations and other financial reporting responsibilities.

Main Responsibilities :

  • Prepare monthly journal entries including revenue and expenses journal entries and related analysis
  • Prepares quarterly reconciliations and resolves general ledger and sub ledger discrepancies
  • Assist with month end and quarter end financial reporting and statutory reporting
  • Prepare ad hoc reports and accounting analysis as directed
  • Support Accounts Receivable including cash application and outstanding balances
  • Support finance team and assist other departments with finance related requests
  • Perform other duties as assigned

    • Qualifications

    Characteristics :

  • Post-secondary degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
  • 1 year of working experience within Finance / Accounting environment
  • Insurance industry experience an asset
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office – Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrate initiative and works well independently and in a team environment
  • Thrives in a fast pace, constantly changing environment
