Prolium is the leader in above ground storage tank maintenance. When it comes to storage tanks, we do it all from minor repairs and modifications to major tank upgrades. We are currently seeking Journeyman Welders and Welding Apprentices who are willing to work throughout Western Canada.

Key Responsibilities :
Fabricating and welding (SMAW) of tank components to the highest of industry standardsOut of position welding (SMAW)Reading and understanding drawings and blueprintsUse of various tools and equipment under supervision (grinders, hydraulic jacks, etc.)General work with steel (grinding, buffing, oxy-acetylene use etc.)Participate in all daily toolboxes and safety meetingsWorking with the team to ensure a quality product is delivered.Must be physically fit and able to safely lift 50 lbsThe work may require you to enter confined SpacesGeneral jobsite supportKey Qualifications :
Punctual attendance is a requirement.Comply with all safety requirementsSuccessfully complete a pre-employment drug and alcohol testMust provide proof of completion of all required safety certificationsMust successfully complete a welder’s qualification test (ASME IX)Bring a positive, ‘can-do’, ‘safety first’ attitude every dayParticipate with the team to build and maintain a productive and safe work environment.Valid class 5 drivers licenseValid Journeyman Ticket or valid Apprenticeship documentationInterprovincial Red Seal trade ticket is an assetCWB Ticket all position SMAWValid B-Pressure ticket is an assetEmployment is contingent on successful completion of welder’s qualification test (ASME IX)Safety Ticket Requirements :
H2S Alive or AwarenessConfined Space Entry and / or RescueCSTS 2020WHMIS 2015Fall protection (an asset)CSA Steel toed boots required. All other PPE is provided.Following receipt of a conditional offer of employment, candidates will be required to complete additional job-related screening processes as permitted or required by applicable law.
