The Opportunity

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and define KPIs metrics and reporting requirements.
• Design develop and maintain Power BI dashboards reports and data models that support operational and financial decision-making.
• Collect clean transform and analyze data from multiple systems to identify trends anomalies and performance insights.
• Translate complex data into clear compelling visuals and narratives for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Develop SQL queries views and stored procedures to support data preparation and reporting needs.
• Monitor data quality and integrity and contribute to ongoing data governance and documentation.
• Support ad hoc data analysis and reporting requests.
• Work cross-functionally with Project Management Operations Finance and IT to ensure data flows definitions and reporting are aligned and consistent.
• Continuously evaluate and improve reporting standards data models and BI development practices.

• Bachelors degree or diploma in Business Analytics Information Systems Industrial Engineering Computer Science Economics Finance Statistics or a related field - or equivalent relevant experience.
• 2-5 years of experience in business intelligence data analysis or a related role.
• Proficiency with Power BI for data modeling report development and visualization.
• Strong SQL skills and experience querying relational databases.
• Familiarity with data modeling ETL/ELT concepts and data warehousing principles.
• Ability to communicate data insights clearly and work collaboratively with stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking ability.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Government of Canada Secret Security Clearance.
• Must be eligible to work with Protected B data and Controlled Goods.
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.

Nice to have:

• Experience with project management financial or operational data.
• Experience building standardized KPI frameworks or semantic data models.
• Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (e.g. Azure AWS Snowflake) is an asset but not required.
