The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced, strategic, and hands‑on Director of Sales & Marketing to lead all aspects of our commercial growth in Canada.
This is a high‑impact leadership role responsible for building brand equity, driving marketplace and direct sales performance, and overseeing a diverse team that includes Channel Specialists, Copywriters, Product Developers, Marketing, and B2B growth. You will collaborate closely with the General Manager and global headquarters to set vision, execute strategy, and deliver measurable results that exceed monthly and annual sales targets.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all sales channels including Amazon, Walmart Marketplace, Aosom.ca (DTC), Best Buy, The Brick, RONA, Home Depot, and any emerging partners.
- Develop and execute channel‑specific growth strategies, pricing plans, and promotional programs.
- Set, monitor, and exceed monthly and annual sales targets.
- Identify and onboard new marketplace and retail partners across Canada.
- Strengthen B2B opportunities through tailored programs, partnerships, and vertical expansion initiatives.
Marketing & Brand Development
Oversee the full marketing function including digital advertising, social media, content, and copywriting.Lead brand strategy for Aosom Canada and its sub‑brands (HOMCOM, Outsunny, PawHut, etc.) to ensure consistency, quality, and local relevance.Optimize creative direction, paid media performance, and campaign ROI.Enhance customer engagement and loyalty through effective storytelling, on‑trend product positioning, and a data‑driven approach.Guide product selection and lifecycle management, ensuring the Canadian assortment aligns with consumer trends and sales data.Work with global HQ to request, negotiate, and prioritize product lines, packaging, and marketing resources.Analyze category performance and competitor movements to maintain a winning, value‑driven portfolio.Lead, mentor, and inspire a high‑performing team of sales and marketing professionals.Collaborate cross‑functionally with Finance, Operations, and HQ counterparts to ensure alignment and profitability.Present growth strategies, sales reports, and marketing plans directly to HQ leadership.Foster a performance‑oriented culture grounded in accountability, creativity, and collaboration.Qualifications
