Location : Victoria, British Columbia
Salary : $100,000 - $145,000 base salary, plus bonus, benefits, and employee share ownership

THE ROLE : INTERIORS SUPERINTENDENT
We are confidentially seeking a talented and experienced Interiors Superintendent to join the Special Projects Division of our client’s Victoria team. This division is known for delivering impactful projects, including tenant improvements, additions, renovations, and retrofits , in the $1M to $25M range.
As an Interiors Superintendent , you will lead the charge on projects from inception to completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met with precision and care. You’ll work on dynamic projects in diverse sectors, such as :
- Commercial Offices & Retail
- Hospitals, Medical or Healthcare Clinics
- Education & Institutional Facilities
- Long-term Care & Medical Facilities

Requirements
SKILLS AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Work with pre construction services and provide support including development of site logistics , project schedule and phasing, design and constructability review and budget development.Manage site staff allocation , quality control, sub-trade coordination, project scheduling, field cost control and safety.Coordinate scopes of work with sub-contractorsMaintain relationships with engineering, estimating, and planning to ensure work complies with drawings, specifications, and schedule.Monitor compliance with company and site safety programs and documents, and ensures corrective measures are implemented.Take an active role in the hiring, training, and monitoring field personnel.Work in conjunction with the project manager, manage the project schedule specifically as pertains to production.Create a 3 week look ahead for all site staff to understand project progress and stagingQUALIFICATIONS :
15 + years of construction experience and a minimum of 5 years in a supervisor capacity role with a General Contractor.Trade ticket, Diploma or Degree in Construction, Engineering or Architectural ScienceExperience building commercial, institutional or medical facility interiors projects would be an assetProven ability to manage project values $1 M - 30 M.Proven ability to lead mid-sized teams.Knowledge of construction engineering and design.Knowledge of standard construction software and management processes.Requirements
Key Responsibilities :
Oversee all aspects of the company’s day to day Customer Care operations in the low and mid rise divisionsEnsure a fair and professional assessment of listed deficiencies; all required repairs are done per Tarion’sReceive, direct and respond to all modes of customer contactEnsure that all customer services activities will meet or exceed the customer’s expectationsClosely monitor on-going projects and create communication channels, internally and externally, to provide status reports and other types of communicationInvestigate and resolve escalated customer needs or complaints, including Tarion RFCCommunicate with Tarion representativesDevelop best practices in customer services and coach service staff to adhere to these best practicesHandle interdepartmental issues with tact and diplomacyManage resource allocations while keeping in mind company fiscal responsibilitiesEnsure that the customer services staff are acting in accordance with set standards at all timesContinually asses the department for areas of improvementOverall review of design and function of products installedEstablish guidelines of product acceptability for overall Quality AssuranceReview of contracts in relation of materials installed; ensure trades complete work as per contractOverseeing costs versus budgets for WarrantyInvoice and purchase order approvals as necessaryOversee scheduling and completion of Pre and PDI’s for each suiteOversee scheduling and completion of Pre and PDI’s for common elementsAssist with trade issues for warranty concerns pre- and post-closing Qualifications 5-10+ years of previous Canadian experience in a new home warranty management position Knowledgeable with Tarion warranty program and Ontario Building Code Knowledge of current construction practices and relationship to resolve service issues correctly and cost effectively the first time. Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service Ability to work well individually and in a team setting, demonstrating professionalism Must have previous experience in the volume / production home construction service industry Budget preparation, administration and variance reporting experience Knowledge of Tarion (new home warranty act) and OBC Knowledge of construction processes Strong communication skills, internal and external - written and verbal Demonstrated ability to manage conflict and convey solutions for problem resolution Requires daily travel from community to community and work well within the field conditions Valid driver's license, must provide a clean driver abstract as daily travel is required
