JOB OVERVIEW
The Warehouse & Distribution Support position reports to the Warehouse & Logistics Supervisor and is responsible for providing a high level of customer service and support in the following tasks :
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Locating, issuing, and distributing of all parts / material and tooling
- Preparing parts and materials for stocking and locating (including packaging and labeling)
- Processing all ERP “Data Entry” transactions
- Arranging inventory, First in First Out (FIFO) order on shelf
- Offloading and verifying incoming raw material shipments from freight companies and Carriers
- Assisting with the annual stocktaking of raw material in concert with the Inventory Group
- Following the proper / safe use of equipment
- Organizing and monitoring of warehouse space to ensure efficiency
- Assisting with the management of the used tire program
- Communicating with KF departments in a professional and courteous manner
- Regular housekeeping of all workspaces
- Other tasks as required and assigned by Supervisor
Feeder Support
Responsible for providing support to the BC Feeder Network program as follows :
Staging Mobile and Electrical equipment required for Purolator freight to be removed or loaded onto aircraftPerforming equipment inspections prior to use around aircraftMarshalling aircraft upon arrival on YLW apron; departing aircraftAssisting in the loading and unloading of packages / containers for distribution by PurolatorFollowing KF’s ramp safety procedures and policesTraining new staff in Feeder Operations, as requiredREQUIREMENTS
High school diplomaValid Driver’s LicenseAbility to safely manage / operate large pieces of machinery including Shear, forklift and assorted Mobile Equipment (certification provided in-house)Successfully pass LMS and Practical training for the Marshalling of Aircraft (in-house training provided)Strong initiative and multi-tasking skillsMust be able to work rotational shift workDemonstrated organizational skills and attention to detailStrong interpersonal and customer service skillsAble to work effectively both independently and as part of a teamBasic computer skills and familiarity with MS Office programs and InternetPhysical ability to stand for extended periods and to move and handle freight which entails heavy lifting including, bending, reaching, twisting, pushing and pullingBENEFITS
