Job Description

Accounting Generalist

Join Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, where our Finance team plays a key role in delivering exceptional guest experiences. We’re looking for an Accounting Generalist who is detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about supporting daily financial operations in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

What You Will Be Doing

• Provide professional, friendly, and consistent service to internal and external stakeholders
• Support daily accounting operations including accounts payable, balance sheet reconciliations, inventory control, banking / cash management, and credit & client billing
• Review and code invoices; match with purchase orders as needed
• Investigate and resolve vendor inquiries promptly
• Scan and submit invoices, bank direct debits, and related documents to the Centralized Accounting Service Delivery team
• Monitor Vendor Account Issue Log and ensure timely follow-up
• Prepare cheque runs and electronic payments following established controlsMaintain self-cashiering machine transactions daily
• Prepare daily bank deposits
• Provide cashiering support to colleagues and retail tenants as needed
• Complete month-end close procedures, including occasional extended hours
• Assist with daily and weekly Credit and Treasury tasks
• Support finance leadership with ad hoc projects and special assignments
• Adhere to all safety, sanitation, departmental policies, and service standards
• Perform other duties as required
