Electrical Counter Sales Associate

We are currently in search of a career orientated person to join our Customer Service team, Electrical division. The position operates in a fast paced, dynamic, rewarding environment and will assume responsibility for all electrical counter sales and product returns while providing expertise as a member of the customer service team.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responding to inquiries and processing incoming calls and orders
  • Purchasing materials for customers and sales negotiations
  • Sourcing materials for customers when currently not in stock
  • Developing and maintaining positive customer relationships
  • Ensuring that customers are satisfied with order taking, product, pricing, deliveries and overall service
  • Counter Sales and handling returns as required
  • Other duties as required
  • SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Exceptional customer service
  • Ability to warm up and develop rapport with potential customers
  • Ability to develop long term relationships and generate referrals from your customers
  • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Computer skills (Word, Excel, Email)
  • Self-motivated; able to function effectively both independently and as a member of a team
  • EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

  • Minimum grade 12 education required
  • Previous experience is an asset , but we are willing to train the right candidate
  • Knowledge of the plumbing and heating industry is considered an asset
  • Final candidates will be required to undergo an assessment and security screening, including a criminal record check. Employment is subject to screening completion that is satisfactory to Bartle & Gibson.
