Job Summary :
The Cook Chill Food Production Center is located on the grounds of the Maplehurst Correctional Facility; however, Cook Chill operates as an independent production facility and is separate from Maplehurst Corrections. There are no inmates on site at any time. Civeo Premium associates do not have any interaction with, nor access to, inmates.
We are seeking a Millwright responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of production equipment. In this role, you will ensure all work meets food safety standards, sanitation requirements, and regulatory obligations, including CFIA, HACCP, and the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act.
Key Responsibilities
Install, align, and commission industrial machinery, automation systems, and mechanical components.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on facility equipment to ensure reliability.
Conduct routine inspections and adjustments to optimize machine performance.
Diagnose mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues using appropriate tools and diagnostic equipment.
Repair or replace defective parts, components, and systems to restore full functionality.
Collaborate with facilities, production teams, and other trades to resolve maintenance concerns.
Work in full compliance with the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and company safety policies.
Follow safe work practices, including lockout / tagout, machine guarding, and hazard identification.
Complete required maintenance documentation such as work orders, logs, and inspection reports.
Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
Use computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) for work order tracking and updates.
Perform basic fabrication tasks such as welding, cutting, and machining when needed.
Carry out additional related tasks as assigned by the manager.
Qualifications
Grade 12 education or equivalent
Valid Certificate of Qualification as an Industrial Mechanic Millwright (433A) in Ontario.
Minimum 3–5 years of maintenance experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or similar environment.
Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Proficiency with alignment tools, precision measuring instruments, and machine shop equipment.
Welding and fabrication skills (CWB certification an asset).
Experience with CMMS platforms.
Basic electrical or automation / PLC knowledge.
Valid forklift, scissor lift, or crane certification is an asset.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Ability to lift and move heavy components as required (following safe work practices).
Ability to work within a secure, regulated, and operationally complex environment.
Successful completion of drug and alcohol screening, vulnerable sector check, criminal record check, and any other required security clearances.
