Are you a highly organized, proactive professional with a passion for emergency planning and community safety? The Squamish Nation Ta na wa Téy̓wilhay̓lhem Public Safety Department is seeking a Project Team Lead to play a vital role in supporting emergency preparedness, flood mitigation, and critical response initiatives. What You’ll Do
- Leads flood mitigation, communications initiatives, and special projects on behalf of the emergency planning and response program.
- Manages the administrative flow and clerical tasks required by the Emergency Planning and Response division.
- Responsible for leading various projects such as EPR Communications development, Voyent Alert procedures, and ESS grant implementation.
- Creates and tracks budgets and updates them regularly, has a full understanding of budgets, and ensures all program costs are coded correctly.
- Leading grant application process and implementation on behalf of emergency planning and response.
What We’re Looking For
A combination of education and experience in Office Management, Business Administration, Emergency Management, or a related field.Experience in administration, project coordination, or emergency planning (experience in a First Nations or government setting is an asset).Strong financial and project-tracking abilities.Strong technical skills : proficiency in MS Office, database systems, and budget tracking.Leadership mindset : ability to drive projects independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.High emotional intelligence : professional communication, adaptability, and problem-solving under pressure.Cultural awareness : respect for Indigenous values and community-centered approaches.Why Work With Us

Salary : $ 62,500 - $ 87,500
Candidates are typically offered compensation between the beginning to the midpoint of the range. Weare committed to providing a fair and equitable package that reflects the value an individual brings to the organization.
