A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Canada Field Service Resource Manager, your day begins with a comprehensive review of ongoing projects and labor coordination. You will work closely with your team to allocate the right millwrights to each task, ensuring that our industrial rotating equipment projects run smoothly and efficiently. Your role involves strategic planning and problem-solving, addressing any challenges that arise in real-time. You'll be involved in meaningful projects that enhance our employee's performance, directly impacting our customers' satisfaction and Siemens Energy's overall mission to deliver reliable energy solutions.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Properly trains and empowers millwright labor on safety policy and procedures and empowers team with stop work authority.
  • Manage millwright labor coordination team responsible for recruiting, hiring, training, and assigning millwright labor based on skills and experience to industrial rotating equipment projects that range from new equipment and revamp installation & commissioning, equipment overhauls and service contracts.
  • Manage all millwright labor key performance indicators including utilization, absorption, cost per hour, etc. for forecasting, annual budget process, etc.
  • Partner with quality team to complete field service rapid assessments ensuring industry leading safety and quality performance.
  • Creates, implements and manages millwright labor training programs such as Career Path, Mentor & Mentee or Technician / Specialist certification programs, etc.

What You Bring

  • Engineering Degree (Mechanical, Electrical) or equivalent experience in similarly related field required
  • 5 or more years of experience in Oil & Gas and or Power Generation Industries in a field service environment preferred
  • Strong industrial rotating equipment knowledge including compressors and control systems
  • Experience interacting with internal stakeholders and clients solving challenging problems
  • Prior experience in leadership and management positions
  • Knowledge of Canadian regulations and requirements

    The Canada Field Service Resource Manager is a key team member of the North & Latin Americas Service Operations team in the Siemens Energy Compression business. Together, the NA & LA Service Operations team provides outstanding service to clients from an array of industries on a wide variety of projects from routine maintenance and troubleshooting to new unit or revamp installation & commissioning or equipment repair & overhauls.
