Primary Responsibilities :
Preparation and revision of financial statements and tax returns in accordance with Firm standards for corporate clients in a variety of industriesReviewing personal and trust tax returns and partnership information returns (T1, T3 and T5013)Providing accounting and tax compliance services to private clients for compilation and review engagementsPreparing and delivering proposals to clients for services offered by the firmManaging the overall planning and work volume for the fiscal year end accounting and taxationCoordinating and supervising the Senior Accountants of small businesses in a variety of industriesAdvising clients on planning opportunities, tax strategies, and financial reportingLeading client mandates and identifying and analyzing client needsProviding clients with comprehensive business plans, financial solutions, and practical business adviceDesigning, developing and delivering final reports and / or presentations to clientsMaintaining relationships with clientsEffectively communicating with our clients, government agencies and with our partners and staffKeeping partners and other team members informed, on an ongoing basis, of progress and significant issuesDemonstrating a leadership role and evaluating the performance of staff membersProviding advice and training to other staff membersWhat you need to succeed :
Bachelor's degree in Commerce with a major in Accounting and TaxationCPA designation, tax degree or CICA In-Depth tax program is an assetMinimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in a small or medium accounting firm (Review Financial Statements, personal and corporate tax returns. Preparation and review Trust and partnership returns is an asset)Prior experience working with accounting software (Sage 50, QuickBooks desktop and Online, Writeup, Caseware, Caseview, and others)Experience reviewing and supervising the work of othersSolid verbal and written communication skills (French)Excellent interpersonal, organizational, leadership skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsDemonstrated ability to work with others in teams effectivelyProficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft WordWe maintain an inclusive and equal opportunity working environment so that every Crowe BGK professional can fulfill their evolving potential.
