Our print division in Vancouver is seeking a Cost Accountant to join our fast-paced manufacturing team environment on a Full-Time basis.

  • Responsibilities :

Prepare journal entries for the completion of month end

  • Analyze and report on the performance of all print jobs
  • Perform inventory and fixed asset counts
  • Review and ensure vendor invoices are matched and forwarded to the Financial Services Center (FSC) for processing.
  • Process payables, perform PO receiving, and prepare POs in Globetek.
  • Resolve invoice problems with buyers and FSC on a weekly basis.
  • Prepare check requests and send them to the FSC.
  • Respond to inquiries about the financial data from the FSC (Financial Services Center)
  • Prepare information to supply to internal and external auditors
  • Ensure all financial records are in conformance with generally accepted accounting principles
  • Able to meet important deadlines, which may require commitment outside of normal hours
  • Other duties as assigned by the Controller
  • Comply with safety policies and procedures
  • Adhere to 5S workplace organization standards

    • Requirements :

  • Post-Secondary education : BA in Accounting or similar
  • Working towards or completion of the CPA designation
  • 5 years of full cycle accounting experience, preferably within the manufacturing industry
  • Proficient in Word and Outlook with advanced skills in Excel
  • Must possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Dynamic team player who also works well independently
  • Strong organizational and time management skills are a must
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
