Your Contribution to Our Growth

We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer (Architect) to help transform our current reporting system infrastructure into a cutting-edge, data-driven insights platform. In this role, you will be tasked with redesigning / re-developing our reporting engine from scratch, elevating it from simple data exports to a dynamic, actionable ecosystem that empowers our organization with real-time, intelligent reporting capabilities. Working closely with a talented team, you'll play a key role in shaping the future of reporting systems for a fast-growing trading and technology company in the digital assets space.

The Senior Backend Engineer will be responsible for architecting and implementing a scalable, modular reporting framework that integrates seamlessly with internal databases, external APIs, and CRM systems like Salesforce. You will develop and optimize data pipelines, create advanced ETL processes, and ensure consistent, reliable data collection across diverse reporting sources. The role also involves creating sophisticated reporting features, such as dynamic dashboards and self-service reporting tools, to support data-driven decision-making at all levels of the organization. Ideal candidates will bring a wealth of experience in enterprise reporting system design, advanced knowledge of event-driven systems and database technologies, and a deep understanding of how to turn complex data into valuable business insights.

This is a Full-Time, Permanent position working Hybrid out of either our Downtown Toronto office or our Downtown Vancouver Head Quarters.

What You’ll Do

• Reporting Architecture Redesign
• Analyze existing reporting systems and identify optimization opportunities.
• Design a scalable, modular reporting architecture.
• Create a unified approach for handling internal database reports, external API data collection, and CRM (Salesforce) integrations amongst others.
• Data Integration & Strategy
• Develop a comprehensive data pipeline strategy.
• Implement advanced ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.
• Create standardized data collection and transformation mechanisms.
• Ensure data consistency across different reporting sources.
• Advanced Reporting Capabilities
• Implement intelligent reporting features.
• Develop dynamic dashboarding capabilities.
• Design self-service reporting tools for different organizational levels.
