Location : Saskatoon

Schedule : Full Time, Monday to Friday 8 : 00am-4 : 30pm

Are you ready to join a dynamic team as a Purchaser? Crestline is seeking a driven and organized individual who will ensure the availability of quality materials for production in a timely and cost-effective manner. This position will play a pivotal role in preventing material shortages, minimizing transportation costs, and optimizing the supply base while maintaining the highest standards of material quality and delivery performance.

You will have the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams and participate in strategic supply chain initiatives. This role demands a proactive and analytical mindset to drive innovation and improve processes, ensuring the success of Crestline’s supply chain management (SCM) strategies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As the Purchaser you will :

  • Ensure timely availability of materials and consumables for production, sales, and service.
  • Optimize costs while maintaining / improving quality and delivery standards.
  • Perform market analysis and cost analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and mitigate risks.
  • Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies and negotiate with suppliers.
  • Back up daily MRP results and overdue reports.
  • Maintain supplier communication, monitor critical / deficient parts, and expedite deliveries.
  • Participate in insourcing / outsourcing projects and support the SCM team with accurate data and pricing.
  • Evaluate and enhance processes and tools to ensure timely part delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to add new processes and tools.
  • Manage and process change requests and interpret Engineering Change Instructions (ECI) for vehicle components.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of accurate BOM system information.
  • Track and report cost savings and SCM performance data.
  • Participate in data analysis and improvement initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS

As the Purchaser, you will have :

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business or Science (preferably major in Supply Chain), APICS Certification (CPIM, CSCP, SCMP, CLTD) is an asset.
  • 3+ years of experience in Purchasing or Supply Chain Management required.
  • Purchasing from automotive manufacturers, suppliers and dealers is an asset
  • Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems (SAP B1 preferred).
  • Knowledgeable in MRP systems- SAP B1 an asset
  • Knowledge of Canadian & International Customs is an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
