THE ROLE
Do you want to document software that enable high-performance computing and machine learning workloads at Exascale? AMD is searching for talented and motivated writers for ROCm™ documentation.
THE PERSON
You are accustomed to working in a dynamic, geographically distributed agile team, where partnership and collaboration are paramount. You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to express your work in a clear, cohesive fashion. You are results-oriented and accustomed to tight deadlines and changing priorities. Most importantly, you are constantly thinking of improving and establishing a seamless user experience for documentation. As a writer for AMD ROCm software, you will work with a team to develop and curate compelling and engaging content for our audience. The documentation spans deployment guides, programming guides, user manuals and API reference guides for products and components intended for software developers, scientists, and engineers. Our documentation philosophy is docs-as-code, a tightly coupled process for software developers and the software technical writer.
To excel in this role, you will have experience developing and editing content, and excellent communication and organizational skills.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Write, edit, review, and organize technical content regarding installing, configuring, and customizing ROCm software products and required third party applications
- Learn the products and be self-sufficient in using our software based on examples and test configurations
- Structure documentation and hierarchically organize content for an enhanced user experience
