Overview
As EDC aims to be the leader in helping all Canadian companies go, grow and succeed internationally, and has launched an ambitious agenda to be more relevant to more Canadian businesses. The Export Help is part of EDC's Small Business and Partnership group and is responsible for addressing a wider spectrum of Canadian companies’ needs as they strive to grow their businesses beyond Canada. We do so by providing Canadian companies with tailored answers, resources and referrals so they can move forward more confidently in their export journey.
Reporting to the Director of Knowledge Business, the group is seeking an Export Advisor. The Advisor will be responsible for responding to inquiries related to international regulations, sales and marketing, customs and compliance, market intelligence and risk mitigation. In this capacity, the Export Help Advisor will be required to find answers to customer problems and add value by leveraging EDC’s internal experts and content as well as accessing resources from the export services ecosystem across Canada and internationally. The Advisor contribute to building and maintaining our Export Help Hub database of knowledge and expertise in the field of international trade. This role is market-facing in that the execution of the assigned initiatives requires the incumbent to interact with internal and external parties, including customers and key relationships, in a team-based but independent manner with limited supervision on a day-to-day basis.
The ideal candidate will be an energetic, entrepreneurial and hands-on professional interested in and capable of helping Canadian companies succeed. You are client service obsessed, curious and highly adaptable, comfortable taking intelligent risks in a fast paced and dynamic environment. You are also excited about using your expertise to contribute to our digital product development projects that will empower other teams at EDC and its customers with knowledge, connections and expertise.
