Acadian Plant Health (APH), is looking for a Global Logistics Manager to manage all shipments and traffic associated with the sale of Acadian Plant Health products worldwide – including LTL, FTL and Ocean. To achieve this, our customer service extends throughout the entire organization, with a highly specialized sales force, marketing team and research and development department all dedicated to providing partners with the innovative solutions they need.Profile : In this role, you will coordinate all shipments and traffic associated with the sale of Acadian Plant Health products worldwide to ensure the best possible service, value to our customers and cost. This includes all North American LTL and FTL shipments and international shipments of ocean freight. You will also maintain and control offsite warehousing of Acadian Plant Health products outside Atlantic Canada and ensure follow-up with customers regarding arrival of their goods. Your Role : Coordinate all activities with freight companies including obtaining competitive rates and carriers, making bookings, verifying delivery of goods, working with customs brokers, verifying credit limits are respected for all shipments before shipping, tracing shipments, processing claims against freight companies and verifying billing.Execute, in coordination with Sales Managers, all internal activities regarding shipping including preparing and sending Order Confirmations, Shipping Requests, Price Sheets and warehouse supply orders.Coordinate all shipping activities with customers including notification of expected delivery dates, confirmation of actual delivery and all related correspondence to claims due to improper delivery.Manage all matters relating to warehouses outside Atlantic Canada by negotiating new warehouse contracts and renewal of existing contracts, identifying and selecting new or replacement warehouses where necessary, recommending removal or expansion of warehousing, determining appropriate throughput.Analyze, create, and manage logistics plans focusing on capacity, timeliness, and costs.Organize and manage storage and shipment of imports, exports, and domestic loads.Enter shipment and order information into SAP.Register and maintain shipment data like space availability, charges, damages, and weight.Prepare and present reports to the logistics department and management.Ensure orders are in compliance with regulations, policies, and laws.Perform advanced data analysis and data visualization.Lead, develop and participate in process and system improvements around logistics processes.Develop Standard Operating Procedures for Logistics Participate in the development of the budget assumptions around logistics.Participate in the development of Logistics Strategy and drive tactical execution.Support the company’s vision and policies regarding Health & Safety, Corporate Culture, and Environmental Management by displaying the appropriate behavior and leadership towards meeting the company’s objectives in these areas. Requirements : Degree to college Diploma in a commercial or technical discipline; or a minimum of 5 years of experience with regional, national and international logistics and supply-chain industry.Strong experience with LTL, TL, Rail and Ocean freight is required. Background in agriculture business is preferred. Knowledge in SAP Business OneOrganized with very effective time management skills.Quick critical thinking and problem-solving abilitiesExceptional active-listening skillsEffective communication, including writing, speaking and interpersonal communication.Proficient at MS Office and other business programs.
