Looking for 2 permanent full-time Construction Painters to join our team!
We are very pleased to be servicing the central Alberta region for both residential and commercial needs. We're a family-owned company that has been in service since 1994.
When first established, we were servicing central Ontario as Marc’s Painting Service. After years of service to the central Ontario region we made the move to Alberta to be closer to family at which point we changed our name the name to Laing Painting. While the name has changed, the great service and quality painting remains the same.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for the following duties :
- Performing duties involving all aspects of preparing and applying multi-family, residential, and commercial coatings to a high standard of workmanship using various tools and materials
- Erect and dismantle scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades
- Mix, pour, and spread materials
- Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants
- Prepare, clean, and sand surfaces to be painted
- Repair cracks and holes
- Working both indoors and outdoors, year-round in multi-family, residential, and commercial settings
- Operate, maintain and repair construction painting equipment
Skills Required
Proven ability to independently :Execute customer painting requirements
Operate, maintain, and use construction painting equipment safely and efficientlyProven ability to follow direction, work independently and as part of a teamExperience reading specifications to determine quantities of materials requiredExperience preparing and cleaning surfaces using methods such as scraping, sanding, sandblasting, hydro-blasting and steam-cleaning; repairing cracks and holes in walls; and applying sealerExperience applying paint or other materials, and mixing to obtain required colour or textureValid driver’s license and clean driver’s abstractPhysically able to lift heavy itemsDetail oriented, organized with proven ability to successfully multi-taskStrong communication skills, both verbal and writtenAbility to apply good judgment, make good decisions, and maintain confidentiality and discretion at all timesOrganized with a proven ability to juggle multiple tasks and projects at once with minimal supervisionWork Conditions and Capabilities

We pay $26.00 per hour for 40 hours per week, plus overtime.
